From childhood, glass artist Nina Nørgaard has been enchanted by the versatile material, which has allowed her to shape her fantasies into reality. After studying mouth-blown and sculpted glass with masters in Paris, Venice, San Francisco, and Kosta, she has become the name to know due to her lasting collaboration with Noma starting in 2012, followed by designing tableware for the world’s most renowned restaurants like Acme in New York. Each of her glass pieces is blown by hand in her Copenhagen studio and is dictated by her intuition for color, thoroughness, and eye for detail. Nina Nørgaard turns glass into art and everyday objects into an act of amusement. Still, what we love most about her glass-cum-art is her premise on sustainability and zero waste. Don’t miss the delicate cups she designed exclusively for Damernes Magasin.
